Transportation around Kauai is fairly easy as the island is 25 miles long and 33 miles wide at its furthest points.
Kauai Bus Fairs are a pretty good way to go. For visitors age 19 - 64, it is 4.00$ for a one day pass and 45.00$ for a monthly pass.
The bus route starts at the SouthWest part of the island near Waimea High School. It ends at the North part of the island on the west part of Hanalei Bay.
